Commisioned by a young overseas based family the house is a collection of four pitched podiums containing living, sleeping and garage areas inter-connected by flat roofs housing passages and service spaces.

Exterior cladding continues into the internal entrance enveloping the guest in dark cedar, exploring the notion of compression before being releasing into the light filled, vaulted living area. The living areas spills into an outdoor living room with fire and louvred roof affording views over mount Iron.

“Working with Hamish was an absolute delight. Being a designer myself, I had very specific ideas about how I wanted the house to look. Hamish was able to capture these ideas perfectly and used his expertises to refine the aesthetics and offer practical solutions where needed, ensuring a meticulously planned property.

Further to this, communication with Hamish was exceptional despite living in different parts of the world. We effortlessly discussed every aspect of the house, delving into the minutest details with clarity and ease. Despite not having met Hamish in person yet, our collaboration has forged a genuine friendship, and look forward to working with him again in the future.” - N Foulds
