High above Pukerua bay on the North Islands Kapati coast this dwelling was commissioned by a young couple undertaking their first build.

Elevated to the second floor, the primary living and sleeping quarters command breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding pastoral landscape, ensconced in timber battening the outdoor room delicately balances transparency with seclusion.

The dwelling is divided into four distinct quadrants, each bearing its own unique purpose within the home. Functionality and aesthetics unfold as the living, sleeping, studio apartment, and garage quarters are interwoven around a central access corridor, affording connectivity within the residence.
